The dolphin is part of our family, the mammals.

Its weight, length and brain are on average twice as big as that of humans! But it will only live half as long!

Some dolphins can live up to 50 years but barely 10 in captivity.

Some Dolphin Facts!

Dolphins dive under water for 3 to 4 minutes without any problem and some can stay under water for 15 minutes.

Some dolphin species can go 500 metres deep!

Most dolphins live in small communities of 10 to 15 or some live in big groups.

They communicate very well, even underwater, by making sounds and also by beating the water with their tails in a certain way.

They are always ready to help those in difficulty and dolphins have even been used by humans military missions.

They live in the tropical or sub-tropical waters of all oceans and can also be found in the Mediterranean Sea.
