The Bald eagle lives in Canada
and in North America
near lakes, rivers, coastlines, wetlands as
it catches most of its food in the water.
What do they eat ?
They eat the fish
that they find in the lakes, rivers... but they
also hunt during the day small mammals, snakes
or birds.
They're carnivores. |

The Bald eagles have a long, downward-curving
yellow bill, and large, keen eyes.
They have a white head and their feet have knife
like talons.
Adult male eagles have approximatively a
3 m wingspan, the females are larger than the
males.
They have the largest
birds nests
in the world.
They weigh between 3.6 and 6.4 kg.
The Blad eagle is the national symbol of the
United States of America since 1782.
You can find it on a US dollar bill and on some
coins. |
