Mean
Jean
sits smugly at her desk,
working on a project.
She's sure to get a good mark.
Her colouring is perfect.
Her neighbour Grace is colouring too
but her marks won't be high.
How can she colour smoothly when
her felt tips have run dry?
`Can I share your pens?' says Grace
to Jean.
Jean gives a tight-lipped frown.
She puts her felt tips in their case
and firmly sets it down.
`Not today,' she shakes her head.
`You always want to borrow.
I don't want to share with you today.
Ask again tomorrow.'
